Dr. William Kaelin
2019 Nobel Laurate, Harvard University
Dr. William Kaelin Jr. is a professor of medicine at Harvard University and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Kaelin studies tumor-suppressor proteins and has received the Albert Lasker Award for Basic Medical Research and the 2019 Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine.
Dr. Harvey Alter
2020 Nobel Laurate, National Institutes of Health
Dr. Harvey Alter is a virologist and the former chief of the Infectious Diseases section of the NIH. Alter’s work led to the discovery of the Hepatitis C Virus and earned him the 2020 Nobel Prize in Physiology and Medicine.
Dr. Virginia Lee
University of Pennsylvania
Dr. Virginia M.-Y. Lee is a biochemist and neuroscientist at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Lee identified tau, alpha-synuclein and TDP-43 as disease proteins that form unique inclusions in Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and frontotemporal degeneration/Lou Gehrig’s disease. She was a recipient of the Breakthrough Prize in Life Sciences (2020).

Dr. Chow is a renowned virologist and a professor at the University of Alabama. She is a member of the National Academy of Sciences since 2012.
Dr. Edward Chu
Albert Einstein University
Dr. Edward Chu is known for his research on cancer treatment. Chu is the director of the Cancer Center at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
Dr. Kun-liang Guan
University of California, San Diego
Dr. Kun-liang Guan is a biochemist known for his work on intracellular signal transduction in cell growth regulation as well as cancer biology. Guan received the MacArthur Award for his research accomplishments.
Dr. Zhigang He
Harvard University
Dr. Zhigang He is known for his research into nerve treatment and regeneration. He is a professor of Neurology and Ophthalmology at the Harvard Medical School, as well as the Director of the Boston Children’s Hospital Viral Core.
Dr. Pei-Yong Shi
University of Texas Medical Branch
Dr. Pei-Yong Shi is a professor and virologist in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Texas Medical Branch. Shi is known for his research on the Zika virus and the SARS-CoV-2 virus.

Dr. Yang Shi is a professor of Cell Biology and Pediatrics, formerly at Harvard University and currently at Oxford. Shi is known for his research on epigenetics and histone methylation.
Dr. Hao Wu
Harvard University
Dr. Hao Wu is a professor of Biological Chemistry and Molecular Pharmacology at Harvard University. She is known for her research on structural immunology, entailing the elucidation of signal transduction’s molecular mechanisms by immune receptors.
